Code of Conduct
DARK ARTS CODE OF CONDUCT
Codes of Conduct should enumerate those behaviors that employees are expected to demonstrate. These behaviors reflect Dark Arts core values. By providing a clear sense of purpose and direction, the Codes of Conduct state that employees are required to:
- Demonstrate respect for self and others
- Demonstrate courtesy to others
- Behave in a responsible manner
- Dress appropriately
- Cooperate with other instructors
- Respect other’s property
The Company outlines the following criteria as key components for ethical behavior:
1.Personal Responsibility
Each employee of the Company is expected to show personal responsibility. This includes completing tasks assigned by their manager or fulfilling the duties within their job criteria. This also includes personal responsibility for mistakes when they happen.
2.Corporate Responsibility
A business will always have responsibilities to its employees and customers. The Company will conduct its business fairly and treat employees and customers respectfully.
3.Trustworthiness
A business builds trust with customers and employees by being honest, transparent, and reliable.
4.Loyalty
The Company and their employees should show loyalty. As an employee of the Company, that person should be loyal to their managers and team members. This can include speaking positively about the business in public and keeping Company issues confidential.
5.Respect
A business should always treat employees and customers with respect. Similarly, employees should treat their coworkers with respect, too. This behavior allows people to feel like a valued part of the team or an important customer. Showing respect also includes caring about opinions, keeping promises, and working hard to solve issues as they happen.
6.Fairness
A fair business applies the same standards and requirements to all its employees. The standards encompass honesty, responsibility, and integrity at every level. The Company strives to treat its customers with equal respect, and each of its employees are required to deal fairly and honestly with those who are impacted by our actions. The Company is committed to conducting business in an ethical manner. The Company expects its employees to demonstrate behavior that will enhance the Company’s reputation for honesty, integrity, and the responsible performance of its services.
7.STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
In order for the Company to operate efficiently and safely, it is necessary for all employees to observe any policies and procedures in our work environment. If an employee’s conduct interferes with the orderly and efficient operations of the Company, disciplinary measures will be taken. Employees are expected to comply with all Company policies and any applicable laws. Failure to comply with any Company policy or procedure may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.
8.INITIAL DISCUSSIONS
Before taking corrective action, the manager will meet with the employee to explain why the need for corrective action is warranted. Grounds for corrective discipline, up to and including immediate termination, may include but are not limited to: violation of Company policies or safety rules; insubordination; excessive absenteeism and/or tardiness; theft or dishonesty; willful destruction of Company property; physical, verbal or sexual harassment of employees or customers; possession, use or sale of illicit drugs or alcohol on Company property; reporting to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or other misconduct.
9.CORRECTIVE ACTION
Depending upon the severity of the matter, disciplinary measures may include a verbal warning, written warning, suspension, or termination. The Company will determine the appropriate corrective action and does not guarantee that one form of action will necessarily precede another.
